Doha, April 02 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani reviewed regional and international developments with HE President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) Felix Tshisekedi, during a meeting held at Lusail Palace on Thursday.

HE the President expressed his country's solidarity with the State of Qatar in light of the continued Iranian aggression against Qatar and several countries in the region, as well as his support for the measures it is taking to protect its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its citizens.

For his part, HH the Amir welcomed HE the President and his accompanying delegation, expressing his thanks and appreciation for the stance and solidarity of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and commending the growing cooperation between the two countries.

Both sides affirmed their commitment to supporting security and stability in the region. They also reviewed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to enhance and develop them across various fields, particularly in the areas of economy and investment.

The meeting was attended by HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Khulaifi, HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, and a number of senior officials.

Also present from the Democratic Republic of Congo were HE Personal Representative of HE the President Sumbu Mambu Sita, HE Special Advisor to HE the President Jean-Claude Kabongo, and a number of Their Excellencies senior officials.

HH the Amir and HE the President also held a bilateral meeting, during which they exchanged views on key issues of mutual interest. (QNA)
