European Stock Prices Decline at Start of Trading
Brussels, April 02 (QNA) - European stock markets opened lower on Thursday following a more hawkish-than-expected speech by US President Donald Trump, which dampened market hopes for a swift end to the war in the Middle East.
The pan-European STOXX Europe 600 fell by 0.2% at the start of trading, amid geopolitical pressures on markets.
Among major markets, France’s CAC 40 in the Paris Stock Exchange dropped by 1.30%, while Germany’s DAX in Frankfurt declined by 1.57%.
Britain’s FTSE 100 also fell by 0.68%, and Italy’s FTSE MIB in the Borsa Italiana dropped by 1.47%. (QNA)
