Jordan King, Finland President Discuss Ties, Regional Developments
Amman, April 19 (QNA) - King Abdullah II of Jordan held talks on Sunday in Amman with President of Finland Alexander Stubb on strengthening bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.
During the meeting, King Abdullah II stressed that international cooperation is more important than ever, reaffirming Jordan's continued support for efforts to achieve peace in the region in coordination with partners, including Finland and the European Union.
He also underscored the importance of the ceasefire between the United States and Iran leading to an end to the war, and called for further steps to de-escalate tensions and enhance regional stability.
The King further emphasized the need for the ceasefire in Lebanon to lead to an end to Israeli aggression and enable Lebanon to preserve its sovereignty and security.
King Abdullah II also called on the international community to prevent any Israeli attempts to exploit the current situation in the region as a pretext for imposing a new reality in Jerusalem, Gaza, and the West Bank, warning that such actions would undermine prospects for peace and risk dragging the region into prolonged conflict.
