Beijing, April 17 (QNA) - Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi affirmed Thursday that the top priority regarding the current situation in the Middle East is to bring the US and Iran back to the negotiating table and seek a political solution.
Wang made these remarks during his meeting in Beijing with Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani, who is currently visiting Beijing.
Wang added that China has always advocated for a political solution to international disputes through dialogue and consultation and opposes the use of force.
He added that Beijing supports Pakistani mediation efforts and is ready to continue engaging with all parties and play a constructive role in this regard.
For his part, Tajani said that Italy fully adheres to the One China policy and supports the proposals and initiatives put forward by the Chinese President to promote the resolution of international and regional hotspots. (QNA)
