Italy Suspends Defense Deal with Israel Amid Mideast Tensions
Rome, April 14 (QNA) - Italy has suspended a defense agreement with Israeli occupation, Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has revealed.
Speaking to reporters at an event in Verona, the premier said her government has decided to "suspend the automatic renewal" of the deal under which the two sides would exchange military equipment and technological research.
She said the decision was taken "in consideration of the current situation".
The agreement came into force in 2016 and was renewed every five years. (QNA)
