Beirut, April 12 (QNA) - One paramedic was killed and another injured in an Israeli airstrike in southern Lebanon on Sunday, according to Lebanese health authorities.

The Emergency Operations Center at Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health said in a statement that Israeli aircraft directly targeted a Lebanese Red Cross ambulance team in the town of Beit Yahoun, in the Bint Jbeil district, killing one paramedic and wounding another.

The ministry described the incident as a violation of international humanitarian law, noting that medical personnel and emergency teams are protected under international norms.

Earlier on Sunday, the ministry said the death toll from the Israeli aggression on Lebanon since March 2 had risen to 2,055, with 6,588 others wounded. (QNA)
