5.2-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Western Indonesia
Jakarta, April 12 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale struck west of Sinabang in Indonesia, with no casualties or property damage reported so far.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the earthquake struck at a depth of 10 km.
Earthquakes regularly strike different parts of Indonesia, which lies on the Pacific Ring of Fire, where many tectonic plates meet and cause frequent volcanic and seismic activity. (QNA)
