UAE Announces Interception of Iranian Ballistic Missiles and Drones

Abu Dhabi, March 09 (QNA) - The United Arab Emirates announced Monday that its air defenses had tracked 15 ballistic missiles launched from Iran, of which 12 were vaporized, while three missiles fell into the sea.

A statement by the UAE authorities reported that 18 drones had been tracked, with 17 of them intercepted and one falling within its territory. It noted that since the start of the Iranian attacks on the country, 253 ballistic missiles have been tracked, of which 233 have been destroyed, while 18 fell into the sea and two others fell within its territory.

The statement added that 1,440 Iranian drones were detected, of which 1,359 were intercepted, while 81 other drones landed inside the country's territory. In addition, 8 cruise missiles were also detected and destroyed.

Authorities in Abu Dhabi announced the martyrdom of four individuals in these assaults, with 117 individuals of different nationalities sustaining minor injuries, stressing that they are ready to deal with any threats and resolutely deter anything that intends to destabilize state security. (QNA)
