HH the Amir Receives Phone Call from Syria's President

Doha, March 08 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received on Sunday a phone call from HE President of the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic Ahmed Al Sharaa.

During the call, HE President Al Sharaa reiterated Syria's condemnation of the ongoing brutal Iranian aggression against the State of Qatar and the countries of the region, and its violation of the sovereignty of countries and threat to their security and stability.

The call also discussed the developments in the region and the rapidly evolving situation on the ground. Both sides emphasized the importance of an immediate cessation of escalation and the need to prevent a slide into chaos.

Both sides stressed the need to intensify regional and international efforts to create the appropriate conditions for de-escalation, and to rely on political and diplomatic paths in accordance with the principles of the United Nations and its Charter to contribute to strengthening regional security and stability.
