Doha, March 7 (QNA) - The Ministry of Commerce and Industry called on all suppliers and retail outlets to share any observations or inquiries with the ministry in order to help improve procedures, enhance market efficiency, and develop services through the hotline 16001.

In a post published today on its page on the platform X, the ministry affirmed its commitment to strengthening communication with suppliers and retail outlets and listening to their feedback and inquiries in a way that contributes to improving procedures and enhancing the services provided.

In a separate statement, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry confirmed the continued availability of goods and products across various retail outlets in the State of Qatar, ensuring that consumer needs are met adequately and consistently. It called on the public to follow official guidance, purchase according to actual needs, and promote a culture of responsible consumption.

The ministry stressed the importance of adhering to guidance issued by official authorities, relying only on official sources, and avoiding rumors that may lead to unnecessary stockpiling. It noted that excessive stockpiling may result in goods being spoiled due to lack of use.

The ministry also urged consumers to purchase only their actual needs in accordance with the household’s requirements for a reasonable period, to prepare a shopping list in advance by identifying essential items and sticking to it to avoid random purchases, and to diversify shopping locations in order to benefit from alternatives and reduce pressure on any single retail outlet.
