Lebanese President Discusses Regional Developments with President of France, King of Spain
Beirut, March 07 (QNA) - Joseph Aoun, President of Lebanon, held separate telephone conversations today with Emmanuel Macron, President of France, and King Felipe VI of Spain to discuss the latest developments in Lebanon and the wider region.
During his call with President Macron, Aoun reviewed the current regional developments as part of ongoing diplomatic contacts and consultations aimed at halting military escalation and promoting stability.
In a separate phone conversation, President Aoun also discussed the situation in Lebanon and the region with King Felipe VI.
The Spanish monarch reaffirmed his country's support for Lebanon during the sensitive circumstances it is facing, emphasizing Spain's solidarity with the Lebanese people.
For his part, President Aoun expressed appreciation for the role played by the Spanish contingent serving within the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in southern Lebanon. He praised their contribution to maintaining security and stability for communities in the region. (QNA)
