Gaza, March 07 (QNA) - Israeli forces carried out a series of air, artillery and naval strikes across several areas of the Gaza Strip early Saturday.
According to the Palestinian News Agency, Israeli warplanes targeted sites east of Al Tuffah neighborhood and eastern Gaza City, while Israeli naval forces fired heavy machine guns and shells toward Gaza City's coastline.
Artillery shelling was also reported in the northwestern parts of the enclave, alongside an airstrike east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Israeli naval forces simultaneously opened fire offshore as artillery struck eastern areas of the city.
A ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel came into effect last October following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from populated areas and the return of displaced residents to northern Gaza, as part of the first phase of a US-backed initiative proposed by US President Donald Trump to end the war.
