The letter was sent by HE Permanent Representative of the State of Qatar to the UN Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al-Thani.

The document recalled the ongoing attacks targeting Qatari territory, noting that the Ministry of Defense in the State of Qatar announced on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, that, to date, a total of three cruise missiles, 101 ballistic missiles, 39 drones, and two SU24 combat jets were monitored, and that, to date, a total of three cruise missiles, 98 ballistic missiles, 24 drones, and two SU24 combat jets have been successfully intercepted.

The Ministry stressed in the letter that the Qatar Armed Forces possess full capabilities and potential to protect the nation's sovereignty and territorial integrity and to resolutely deter any external threat.

In addition, the message highlighted that all damages and losses resulting from the attacks will be compiled by the relevant authorities, and updates will be provided as the situation develops. It added that the State of Qatar once again strongly condemns this targeting and reserves the full right to respond in accordance with Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, proportionate to the nature of the assault, in defense of its sovereignty and to protect its national security and interests.
