Riyadh, March 4 (QNA) - Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi said that an emergency ministerial meeting between Their Highnesses and Excellencies the Foreign Ministers of the GCC member states and the Foreign Ministers of the European Union member states will be held tomorrow, Thursday, via video conference.

The meeting will also see the participation of High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Kaja Kallas.

In a statement Wednesday, Albudaiwi indicated that the joint meeting will address the implications of the brutal Iranian attacks on GCC member states, the dangerous developments in the region, and their negative impact on the entire world.

He emphasized that the GCC, through these joint meetings with regional and international partners, seeks to condemn the treacherous Iranian attacks targeting civilians, infrastructure facilities, and diplomatic missions in GCC member states, and to urge the international community to fulfill its responsibilities and obligations to immediately halt the war, thereby strengthening regional and international stability and security.
