Turkish President Warns of Repeat Ballistic Missile Incident Over Turkish Airspace
Ankara, March 04 (QNA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned of the repetition of the incident of the ballistic missile that had been intercepted earlier Wednesday in the Turkish airspace.
Speaking during an Iftar dinner in Ankara, Erdogan emphasized that he directed unequivocal warnings to ensure similar incidents aren't repeated once again.
Turkiye is taking essential measures in close consultation with NATO allies and will immediately intervene, when necessary, he said, adding that his country never leaves anything for coincidence when it comes to securing borders and airspace, particularly amid the agonizing days the region is going through.
Time and again, Turkiye has demonstrated its people's position throughout history when their homeland and flag come under threat and when their independence and future are at risk, Erdogan underscored. (QNA)
