Defense Ministry Announces Successful Interception of 10 Drones and Two Cruise Missiles

Doha, March 04 (QNA) - The Ministry of Defense announced that the State of Qatar was targeted at dawn Wednesday by 10 drones and two cruise missiles launched from the Islamic Republic of Iran, all of which were successfully intercepted by Qatar's armed forces.

The Qatar Amiri Air Defense Forces intercepted six drones, while the Qatar Amiri Air Force intercepted two drones and two cruise missiles. The Qatar Amiri Naval Forces intercepted the remaining two drones.

In a press release, the Ministry of Defense affirmed that Qatar Armed Forces possess the full capabilities and resources to safeguard the country's sovereignty and territory and to respond firmly to any external threat.

The Ministry also called on citizens, residents and visitors to remain reassured, adhere to instructions issued by the relevant security authorities, refrain from spreading rumors, and rely solely on statements and information released by official sources. (QNA)
