Qatar Chamber Chief Discusses Trade Ties With Belgium and Singapore Envoys
Doha, March 30 (QNA) - HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim Al-Thani has held separate meetings with the ambassadors of Belgium and Singapore in Doha to explore further economic co-operation.
According to a statement on Monday, HE Sheikh Khalifa met with HE Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium Eugene Crijns and HE Ambassador of the Republic of Singapore Pong Kok Tian to discuss opportunities to expand trade and investment ties.
The talks focused on boosting collaboration between the private sectors in Qatar, Belgium and Singapore as well as identifying new areas for joint investments.
HE Sheikh Khalifa reaffirmed the Chamber's commitment to enhancing ties, highlighting a range of sectors with potential for growth.
The Belgian ambassador praised the strong bilateral relations, noting that companies from Belgium are looking to expand their presence in Qatar across various sectors.
Meanwhile, Singapore's ambassador said firms from his country are keen to work with Qatari partners in areas such as digitalization, technology, infrastructure and renewable energy. He added that Singapore welcomes Qatari investment and offers incentives to foreign investors. (QNA)
