Israeli Occupation Completes Month of Al-Aqsa Mosque Closure
Occupied Jerusalem, March 30 (QNA) - The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) completed one month since the closure of Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied Jerusalem (Al-Quds), as they continue to close it to worshippers for the 31st consecutive day, under the pretext of security concerns related to the Israeli-US war on Iran.
The occupation's police tightened military measures around the holy city and at the entrances to Palestinian towns and villages in the West Bank.
In a related context, the Israeli occupation's extremist groups continue to incite incursions into Al-Aqsa during the upcoming Passover, calling for "sacrificial rituals" inside the mosque and demanding it be opened for Jews during the holiday period from April 2-9.
The Israeli occupation is using the state of emergency as a pretext to strengthen its control over Al-Aqsa, while Palestinian calls for popular mobilization near the nearest checkpoints and military barriers have intensified in an effort to break the siege and reopen the mosque. (QNA)
