Bahrain's Interior Ministry Orders Temporary Maritime-Traffic Ban
Manama, March 29 (QNA) - The Bahraini Ministry of Interior announced the imposition of a maritime movement ban on all mariners and recreational boat users, including fishing and leisure vessels, in light of measures taken to protect its coastal areas.
The move is intended to ensure the safety of seafarers and maritime users in the wake of blatant Iranian attacks, involving the use of missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles, which pose a significant risk to the safety of citizens and residents, the ministry said in a statement Sunday.
The Ministry clarified that the ban will be in effect from 6:00 p.m. until 4:00 a.m., starting today and continuing until further notice, as part of a series of previous maritime security and safety regulations.
The statement urged all mariners to comply with the maritime curfew, avoid approaching the shores, and adhere to safety protocols, thereby protecting themselves and avoiding legal liabilities, emphasizing that these measures are part of efforts to enhance maritime safety and readiness under current security conditions.
