Doha, March 28 (QNA) - HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al-Thani met with HE Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Rustem Umerov, and HE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrii Hnatov, during their visit to Qatar.

During the meeting, attended by HE the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, they discussed the latest security developments in the region and the defense cooperation and joint coordination under current circumstances.

A defense cooperation agreement was signed between the Qatari Ministry of Defense and the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, covering technological cooperation, development of joint projects, defense investments, and exchange of expertise in countering missiles and drones.

The agreement was signed on the Qatari side by HE Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces Lieutenant General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, and on the Ukrainian side by HE Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andrii Hnatov, in the presence of HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, and HE the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine.
