Saudi Arabia Welcomes HRC Resolution on Iranian Attacks
Riyadh, March 26 (QNA) - Saudi Arabia welcomed the United Nations Human Rights Council's (HRC) adoption of a resolution submitted on behalf of the Gulf Cooperation Council states and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on the human rights implications of the unjustified Iranian attacks on these countries.
In a statement, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the resolution's adoption by consensus during the Council's 61st session reflects unified international rejection and condemnation of the Iranian attacks as grave human rights violations.
The statement added that the Kingdom renews its condemnation of the Iranian attacks against it and countries in the region, which constitute a flagrant violation of sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a clear breach of international charters and law. Targeting states not party to the conflict is a blatant act of aggression that cannot be justified or accepted. (QNA)
