Muslim World League Welcomes UN HRC's Resolution Condemning Iranian Attacks on Arab States
Makkah Al Mukarramah, March 26 (QNA) - The Muslim World League welcomed the United Nations Human Rights Council's (HRC) adoption of a resolution condemning Iranian attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, the Kingdom of Bahrain, the State of Kuwait, the Sultanate of Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
In a statement issued by the organization's Secretary-General, Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al Issa, it praised the HRC’s just stance, its unequivocal condemnation of this blatant Iranian aggression, its demand for its immediate halt, and its call for accountability, given the grave violations and unprecedented human rights consequences regionally and globally. He also recalled the World Food Programme’s warning that an additional 45 million people could face acute hunger as a result of this brutal and criminal aggression.
He reiterated that the unanimous adoption of the resolution sends a clear message to the Iranian regime of the unified international stance rejecting and condemning its criminal attacks under false pretenses. (QNA)
