Abu Dhabi, March 23 (QNA) - The UAE Ministry of Defense has reported that its air defenses engaged seven ballistic missiles and 16 UAVs launched from Iran on Monday.
In a statement, the ministry clarified that since the start of the Iranian attacks, the UAE air defenses have intercepted 352 ballistic missiles, 15 loitering munitions, and 1,789 one-way attack UAVs.
These attacks resulted in the martyrdom of two servicemembers of the Armed Forces while they were undertaking their national duties, as well as the killing of six civilians and injuring 160 individuals who sustained minor, moderate, and critical injuries, the statement continued.
The ministry further emphasized that it remains with its head on a swivel to deal with any potential threats and resolutely holds off anything that would destabilize state security, stressing that it would work to ensure its sovereignty, security, and stability in pursuit of protecting its national interests and gains.
