Doha, March 23 (QNA) - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced on Monday the gradual resumption of in-person classes across educational institutions in the country starting Tuesday, with full in-person attendance for all students in schools and kindergartens to resume next Sunday.

In a statement, the Ministry said the decision comes within the framework of a phased plan covering all educational levels. It added that in-person care for children, as well as the return of administrative and teaching staff at nurseries, will begin on Wednesday.

For kindergartens and public and private schools, the Ministry noted that students will temporarily continue remote learning from Tuesday through Thursday, March 26. Administrative and teaching staff will resume duties in schools starting Wednesday to ensure full readiness for students' return to in-person classes next Sunday.

The Ministry set the schedule for public schools during the remote learning period from 9:00 a.m. to 12:35 p.m., comprising five 35-minute periods, including two breaks for breakfast and prayer.

Private schools will be granted flexibility in organizing their schedules to ensure the completion of curriculum requirements, provided that classes begin at 9:00 a.m. and the school day does not exceed five hours.

Regarding higher education, the Ministry confirmed the resumption of in-person classes at universities and other higher education institutions starting Tuesday, in accordance with each institution's approved schedule. The measure also applies to private educational and training centers.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of following updates through official channels and adhering to safety and security guidelines issued by the relevant authorities to ensure a safe and stable learning environment for all. (QNA)
