Gaza, March 23 (QNA) - The death toll from the Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip since October 2023, has soared to 72,263, with 171,944 injured.

Hospitals in the enclave received nine Palestinian deceased bodies, among them one who had died from agonizing injuries, alongside 30 injured throughout Eid Al-Fitr days, health authorities in the Gaza Strip highlighted in a statement on Monday.

The statement pointed out that since the ceasefire last October, the total number of fatalities has risen to 687, with the overall number of injuries reaching 1,845, while 756 bodies have been recovered.

It noted that there are still victims languishing under rubble and on the roads, as paramedics and civil defense rescuers have heretofore been unable to reach them. (QNA)
