Damascus, March 23 (QNA) - Israeli forces advanced on Monday into the vicinity of the Ruwaihina Dam in the northern countryside of Quneitra Province in southwest Syria.

"An Israeli infantry unit of about 30 soldiers moved toward the dam area and remained deployed there", the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported.

The Israeli occupation continues its violations of the Disengagement Agreement of 1974 through incursions into southern Syria and attacks on Syrians through raids, arrests, and land-clearing operations.

Syria continues to call for the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation from its territory, affirming that all actions it takes in southern Syria are null and void and do not entail any legal effect under international law.

It calls on the international community to face up to its responsibilities, deter the practices of the occupation, and compel it to fully withdraw from southern Syria. (QNA)
