Abu Dhabi, March 22 (QNA) - The UAE Ministry of Defense has announced that the air defenses are currently intercepting missile and drone attacks launched by Iran.

The ministry added in a statement Sunday that the loud noises heard across various parts of the country are the result of air defense systems intercepting ballistic missiles, as well as UAVs and loitering munitions.

On Saturday, the ministry reported that the air defenses had engaged three incoming ballistic missiles and eight UAVs from Iran.

It explained that since the onset of the Iranian attacks, the air defenses have intercepted 341 ballistic missiles and 15 loitering munitions, along with 1,748 drones. (QNA)
