Muscat, March 22 (QNA) - The Search and Rescue sector of the National Emergency Management System in Oman stated that the total number of fatalities resulting from the adverse low-pressure system reached four over the past 24 hours.

The sector explained that, among the recorded cases, two citizens were swept away after their vehicle became trapped in a wadi channel in the Wilayat of Wadi Al Maawil in South Al Batinah Governorate, where they were later found deceased.

It also indicated that another vehicle carrying ten people was swept away in the Wilayat of Barka in South Al Batinah Governorate, where seven people were rescued, two were found deceased, and search operations are still underway for one missing person. (QNA)
