Egypt Strongly Condemns Israeli Aggression Against Syria
Cairo, March 21 (QNA) - Egypt today condemned in the strongest terms the Israeli aggression targeting military facilities and infrastructure in southern Syria.
In a statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs characterized the attack as a flagrant and repeated violation of Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a blatant breach of the rules of international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter, which guarantee the sovereignty and territorial unity of states. Egypt emphasized its categorical rejection of the recurrence of these provocative Israeli practices.
The ministry warned that this persistence represents a dangerous disregard for regional security and stability and threatens to slide the Middle East into further chaos and tension. It demanded the immediate and full withdrawal of all Israeli forces from all occupied Syrian territories in compliance with relevant international legitimacy resolutions.
The ministry also renewed its call to the international community, led by the UN Security Council, to fulfill its responsibilities and take immediate action to end these continuous Israeli violations and aggressions, and to compel Israel to comply with the rules of international law to preserve regional and international peace and security.
