IATA Urges End to Attacks on Civil Aviation in Mideast
Paris, March 02 (QNA) - Following attacks on infrastructure in the Middle East, the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Monday, urged the warring parties in the region not to target civilian aircraft and airports.
In a statement, Willie Walsh, Director General of IATA, the world's largest airline trade association, which includes more than 360 airlines, accounting for 85 percent of global commercial air traffic, said that it is essential that states respect their obligations toward civilians and civil aviation and hoped for a swift and peaceful end to the current hostilities.
