Beirut, March 19 (QNA) - Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam met Thursday with Minister of Foreign Affairs of France Jean-Noel Barrot, currently visiting Beirut.

During the meeting, the French minister affirmed his country's support for Lebanon at this stage, stressing in a statement that France is working with various parties to halt the escalation.

Barrot also renewed his country's support for the decisions of the Lebanese government and indicated that France will increase humanitarian aid in the coming phase. (QNA)
