Kuwait, March 18 (QNA) - The State of Kuwait has vigorously condemned and deplored the Iranian attack on Ras Laffan Industrial City in the State of Qatar, which caused severe damage.

A statement by the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry stressed that this attack amounts to a flagrant violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness, posing a direct threat to the region's security and stability, as well as an unequivocal breach of Security Council Resolution 2817.

The Ministry underscored Kuwait's absolute rejection of Iran's engagement in hostile acts that have increased escalation and heightened tensions, actions that undermine the region's security and stability.

It stressed the importance of refraining from targeting civilian enterprises and energy facilities, as such acts pose a clear threat to nations and the safety of their peoples.

The statement reiterated Kuwait's full solidarity with Qatar, confirming that it stands side by side with Qatar and supports it in all measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, and the safety of its establishments. (QNA)
