Brussels, March 18 (QNA) – European stock indices closed lower Wednesday, as the repercussions of the escalating tensions in the region continued to impact global markets.

The Stoxx 600 index ended the session down 0.7%.

Germany's DAX index fell 0.86%, while Britain's FTSE 100 lost 0.94%, and France's CAC 40 saw a slight decline of 0.06%. (QNA)
