UAE President, Dutch King Discuss Regional Developments in Phone Call
Abu Dhabi, March 17 (QNA) - HH President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed with King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands the latest developments in the region during a telephone call Tuesday.
The discussion focused on the escalating military situation and its serious repercussions for regional and international peace and security.
The King of the Netherlands reiterated his condemnation of the Iranian attacks on the UAE and other countries in the region, saying they target civilians and civilian infrastructure.
He emphasized that these attacks constitute a violation of state sovereignty and international conventions.
He noted that the Netherlands recently summoned the Iranian ambassador following the Iranian attacks on countries in the region, reaffirming his country's solidarity with and support for the UAE.
Both sides stressed the need for an immediate cessation of escalation and military action to preserve regional and international security and stability. (QNA)
