Israeli Occupation Prevents Worshipers from Performing Ramadan Nightly Prayers in Occupied Jerusalem
Occupied Jerusalem, March 17 (QNA) - Israeli occupation forces prevented worshipers from performing Taraweeh (Ramadan nightly prayers) in several neighborhoods of occupied Jerusalem Tuesday evening, as the Al Aqsa Mosque compound remains closed for the 18th consecutive day.
Sources said that occupation forces deployed around Damascus Gate and Herod's Gate, as well as the vicinity of the Rashidiya School, preventing worshipers from performing Taraweeh prayers and forcing them to leave the area.
They added that the occupation forces pushed worshipers towards the Wadi Al Joz neighborhood in an attempt to disperse them and prevent any gatherings for prayer.
The Israeli occupation authorities continue to close the Al Aqsa Mosque compound to worshipers under the pretext of security developments in the region. (QNA)
