Abu Dhabi, March 16 (QNA) - The Dubai Civil Aviation Authority announced a temporary suspension of flights at Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates as a precautionary measure.

The authority stressed that the measure aims to ensure the safety of passengers and staff, noting that any further updates will be announced as soon as they become available.

The suspension of flights comes after Civil Defence teams announced they had brought under control a fire caused by damage to one of the fuel tanks in the vicinity of Dubai International Airport, indicating that the competent authorities had begun dealing with the incident resulting from a drone that targeted the airport.
