Cairo, March 16 (QNA) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi discussed the latest developments in the region and ways to avoid further escalation and work towards a swift end to the war in two separate phone calls today with HH Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and HM King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.

The Egyptian Presidency stated in a press release that President El Sisi expressed Egypt's full solidarity with all Gulf states in confronting current challenges.

He emphasized that the security of the Arabian Gulf is an integral part of Egyptian national security, and that Egypt will not hesitate to provide all forms of support to maintain the region's stability.

The Egyptian President also noted his country's continued intensive efforts at the international and regional levels to halt the escalation and create the appropriate conditions for restoring security and peace.

He stressed the importance of strengthening joint Arab cooperation and activating the concept of collective national security, which would guarantee the protection of Arab states from any external threats and bolster Arab unity in the face of regional and international challenges. (QNA)
