Abu Dhabi, March 12 (QNA) - HH UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today discussed the military and security developments in the region and their serious repercussions for regional security and peace in two phone calls with Mauritanian President, Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouani and Argentine President, Javier Milei.
The Mauritanian and Argentine presidents condemned the attack on the UAE Consulate General in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, considering it a violation of all international norms and laws that guarantee the protection of diplomatic missions and their premises. They also condemned the Iranian attacks that continue to target the UAE and several other countries in the region, and expressed their solidarity with the UAE in its defense of its sovereignty, security, and stability.
They stressed the need for de-escalation, a halt to military escalation, and prioritizing dialogue and political solutions to avoid further threats to regional and international security and stability. (QNA)
