Doha, March 11 (QNA) - Qatar Chamber stressed Wednesday that the local stock of goods in major hypermarkets is good and reassuring and has not been affected by the current conditions so far.

This came during the meeting held by the Trade and Research Committee of the Qatar Chamber under the chairmanship of Board Member and Committee Chairman Mohammed bin Mahdi Al Ahbabi, with the participation of representatives of commercial companies and business owners.

The meeting addressed key challenges facing the trade sector under the current circumstances, particularly those related to supply chains, storage, prices, and costs.

The meeting also discussed appropriate solutions and alternative routes to ensure the continued supply of goods to the local market.

The committee members highlighted that the local stock of goods in major hypermarkets is good and reassuring and has not been affected by the current conditions so far, stressing that continuing the flow of goods without obstacles is the way to avoid any shortage in imported products during the coming period

For his part, Mohammed bin Mahdi Al Ahbabi stressed the Chamber's keenness to identify the views of business owners on the challenges facing companies to discuss them with the relevant authorities for appropriate solutions. He also commended the existing cooperation between the Chamber and various ministries and institutions to prevent any shortage of goods or increase in prices.

For his part, Qatar Chamber Board Member Dr. Mohammed bin Jawhar Al Mohammed paid tribute to the country's measures taken to support trade, noting the need for all parties to work together to prevent any disruption to supply chains and ensure the uninterrupted availability of goods. (QNA)
