Doha, March 10 (QNA) - HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi received a phone call Tuesday from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania Kestutis Budrys.

During the call, they discussed the developments of the military escalation in the region and its serious repercussions on security and stability regionally and internationally, as well as ways to resolve all disputes through peaceful means.

HE the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs renewed during the call the condemnation of the Iranian attacks on Qatari territory, and that they cannot be accepted under any pretext or justification. He noted in this context that the State of Qatar has always been keen to distance itself from regional conflicts and has sought to facilitate dialogue between the Iranian side and the international community.

His Excellency stressed the need for the immediate cessation of any escalatory actions, a return to the dialogue table, the adoption of the language of reason and wisdom, and work to contain the crisis in a way that preserves the security of the region.

For his part, HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Lithuania called for de-escalation, giving priority to the voice of reason, and returning to negotiations and diplomatic means to avoid further chaos. (QNA)
