Bahrain Condemns Attack on UAE Consulate in Kurdistan Region of Iraq
Manama, March 10 (QNA) - Bahrain on Tuesday expressed its strong condemnation of the attack that had targeted the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
In a statement, the Bahraini Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as a flagrant violation of all international laws and norms, particularly the Geneva Conventions of 1949 and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of 1961, affirming Bahrain's solidarity with the UAE.
It stressed the necessity of protecting diplomatic premises and missions and their staff in accordance with international laws and norms, and taking all necessary measures to ensure accountability for those responsible.
The statement also called for an end to what is termed terrorist and hostile operations that aim to destabilize security and stability and threaten regional and international peace and security. (QNA)
