Amman, March 10 (QNA) - King Abdullah II of Jordan on Tuesday stressed the criticality of preparing for any contingency, enforcing swift response plans, and ensuring the plentiful supply of key commodities through a safe stockpile, as well as maintaining an enduring supply chain throughout the country.

King Abdullah was chairing a meeting at the Jordanian National Center for Security and Crises Management, during which he underscored the importance of crafting plans to ensure having ample supplies in place in terms of primary energy and food materials, with particular emphasis on controlling markets to prevent tampering with prices so as to handle the consequences of the developments playing out in the region.

On Monday, King Abdullah cautioned against the conflict spilling over into the Middle East by targeting a group of safe and stable Arab nations. He considered diplomacy and dialogue as the exit ramp to end the menacing escalation in the region. (QNA)
