Jordanian, Iraqi FMs Discuss Regional Escalation
Amman, March 10 (QNA) - Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein, discussed the implications of the escalating regional tensions and efforts aimed at restoring calm, maintaining stability, and advancing diplomatic solutions, during a phone conversation on Tuesday.
During the call, both sides warned that an expansion of the crisis could have grave regional consequences and stressed the importance of collective efforts to safeguard the security and stability of the region.
The Jordanian Foreign Minister reiterated his country's condemnation of Iranian attacks targeting its territory and those of several Arab countries, emphasizing that Jordan will continue to take all necessary measures to defend its citizens and sovereignty, in addition to maintaining its national security against any threats.
