Turkish President, Jordanian Monarch Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Developments
Ankara, February 07 (QNA) - Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Jordanian King Abdullah II, who is on a visit to Turkiye, discussed on Saturday bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them in various fields.
Turkish sources reported that the two leaders explored the developments in the Gaza Strip and the implementation of the second phase of the peace plan. They emphasized the need to maintain the ceasefire, condemned ongoing Israeli violations, stressed the importance of ensuring the continued delivery of humanitarian aid, and rejected any attempts to displace Palestinians.
Regarding the situation in Syria, Erdogan and King Abdullah affirmed the necessity of preserving Syria's territorial integrity and sovereignty, rejecting any attempts to destabilize the country, and guaranteeing the voluntary and safe return of Syrians to their homeland.
According to the sources, the bilateral and expanded talks also addressed various developments in the region. Both sides affirmed their continued cooperation and joint efforts to ensure regional stability. (QNA)
