Doha, February 05 (QNA) - Al Sadd moved to the top of the Qatar Stars League after a dominant 4–0 victory over Al Shahania at Jassim bin Hamad Stadium on Thursday.

Akram Afif scored a hat-trick — including a first-half penalty — with goals in the 13th, 49th and 82nd minutes, while Claudinho added a third in the 73rd.

The win lifts Al Sadd to 32 points after 15 rounds, taking them to the top of the table. Al Shahania remain bottom on 11 points.

Al Sadd controlled much of the match and avenged their 1–0 defeat to Al Shahania earlier in the season, extending their strong title push in the 2025–26 campaign. (QNA)
