Riyadh, February 04 (QNA) - Saudi Arabia and Turkiye have stressed the importance of ramping up relief work in Gaza and pushing toward opening all crossings without hindrances to ensure humanitarian aid flows to all parts across the enclave.

In a joint communique following the meeting between HH Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, with the latter wrapping up his visit to Riyadh, both sides underscored the need to uphold the ceasefire, end the occupation in Gaza, and pave the way for the reinstatement of the Palestinian authority to assume its responsibilities in the Strip and ultimately end the occupation.

In addition, the two sides expressed their concern over the conflicts and tensions and their metastasizing risk in the region, underlining their resolve to enhance their collaboration and joint coordination toward them. They likewise stressed the importance of regional cooperation and initiatives that aim to ensure regional stability and peace.

The two sides agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the areas of exploring, extracting, and treating mineral resources, as well as the importance of international cooperation and joint ventures in the field of critical minerals, to ensure the security of supply chains essential for the global energy transition.

Regarding the defense and security aspect, both sides agreed to effectuate the agreements signed between the two countries in defense cooperation areas, emphasizing their desire to advance defense ties, which would serve the two countries' interests and help achieve security and stability in the region.

On the Sudanese issue, they asserted their enduring and supportive positions for the unity of Sudan and safeguarding its security, stability, and sovereignty, pushing back against any illegitimate or parallel entities outside the framework of the legitimate Sudanese institutions. (QNA)
