The forum and conference agenda features panel discussions presented by experts in investment and the financial sector as well as leading academic researchers, focusing on the themes of financial and environmental sustainability and the challenges of investment and environmental engineering projects in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

On the sidelines of the forum, pioneers of Gulf engineering, heads of engineering societies, and winners of the Gulf Engineering Forum Project Awards were honored, including several leading Qatari engineers.

In a related development, Dr. Abdullah Hassan Al Mehshadi was unanimously elected as Deputy Secretary-General of the Gulf Engineering Union for the next three-year term, reflecting the high standing of Qatari engineers and the level of confidence the Gulf region places in Qatari engineering expertise and its ability to contribute to leading joint engineering efforts.

With a delegation headed by Chairperson Eng. Amna Mohammed Al Naama, and the accompanying recognition, the Qatar Society of Engineers affirmed that this participation represents well-deserved Gulf appreciation for Qatari expertise, and contributes to supporting cooperation and integration among engineering societies in the GCC countries, serving sustainable development and creating a long-term professional impact.

It is worth noting that the Qatar Society of Engineers presented a significant scientific contribution during the event, reflecting Qatar's pioneering experience in sustainability and smart infrastructure by presenting specialized working papers addressing investment and sustainability challenges and innovative solutions in smart infrastructure projects, with a focus on engineering and environmental dimensions. The papers also presented an analysis of the sustainability performance of the Doha Metro from 2021 to 2024, using the composite sustainability assessment index methodology.
