Doha, February 28 (QNA) - The Ministry of Education and Higher Education announced that all kindergartens, public and private schools, educational centers, and universities across the country will shift to distance learning, effective from Sunday, March 1, 2026, as a precautionary and organizational measure until further notice.

In a press statement, the Ministry emphasized that this decision stems from its priority of providing a safe learning environment for students, teachers, and administrative staff. It also reflects the Ministry's ongoing monitoring of regional developments to ensure the continuity of the educational process according to the approved schedules for each institution via official digital platforms.

The Ministry indicated its full readiness to oversee the implementation of this decision in continuous coordination with relevant authorities in the country. Schools were instructed to inform parents and students of the approved communication channels and to verify that students can access the learning platforms to follow their lessons without any obstacles.

The Ministry concluded its statement by urging everyone to obtain information from official sources, praying to Allah to protect the nation and grant everyone continued security and safety. (QNA)
