US Vice President, Omani Foreign Minister Discuss Efforts to Reach Agreement on Iranian Nuclear Issue
Washington, February 27 (QNA) - US Vice President JD Vance met Friday with Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, who is currently visiting Washington, to discuss the indirect US-Iranian negotiations and diplomatic efforts aimed at reaching an agreement on the nuclear issue and ensuring the peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear program.
During the meeting, Vance highlighted the role played by the Sultanate of Oman and its efforts in mediation, sponsoring the negotiations, facilitating dialogue, and contributing to strengthening opportunities for understanding and addressing regional issues through diplomatic means.
For his part, Al Busaidi affirmed that the negotiations have so far achieved significant progress that could form a fundamental pillar for the desired agreement, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made by the parties participating in the negotiations, and the resulting ideas that have contributed to bringing viewpoints closer in order to reach an agreement.
He expressed his country's keenness to continue its efforts in supporting dialogue and facilitating rapprochement between the concerned parties, based on its belief that there are solutions to all outstanding issues through diplomacy and dialogue. (QNA)
