Two Killed in Israeli Drone Strike on Motorcycle in Southern Lebanon
Beirut, April 4 (QNA) - Two people were killed on Saturday in an Israeli drone strike that targeted a motorcycle in southern Lebanon, Lebanese official media reported.
Lebanon's National News Agency (NNA) said the strike hit a road north of the city of Tyre, killing both individuals on board.
The incident comes amid continued Israeli military escalation across parts of Lebanon, particularly in the south, the Western Bekaa Valley, and Beirut's southern suburbs.
In a separate development, Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health said ten people were injured in an Israeli airstrike on the town of Maaraka in the Tyre district.
Israeli warplanes also struck the towns of Sahmar and Mashghara in the Western Bekaa Valley, injuring two people, according to local reports.
At dawn, heavy airstrikes targeted multiple areas in southern Lebanon, including the vicinity between Burj al-Shamali and al-Housh, as well as the towns of Tayr Dibba, al-Abbasiya and al-Mansouri.
In a related incident, the NNA reported that the head of a Civil Defense center in Tyre and two personnel were injured while responding to a second strike on al-Housh. The injuries were described as minor, with cases of smoke inhalation, and the three were transferred to hospital in stable condition.
Israeli warplanes also carried out renewed strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs, with local sources reporting a second strike within an hour after dawn. (QNA)
